I just want to say how depressing it was to witness another England team crashing out of another major tournament! It is beyond belief! Why? Well, just look at the pathetic formation that Sven opted to use for the tournament! Enuff said! 4-1-4-1?? I mean, c'mon! It doesnt take a scientist to work out that most, if not all, the players prefer to play a 4-4-2 formation as they play that almost week in, week out for their club teams. I mean, the players are almost, alien to that formation. Lampard, Gerrard, world class, they may be...but...in that formation, they aint! They just dont know how to perform in that formation. In the qualifiers leading up to the world cup, Sven chose to use a diamond shape midfield, and he used to that a degree. Though, not entirely successful, at least the players knew what they were doing. But, im lost for words! Every game of the world cup, i wished and hoped England will come up with a better performance than their last. But it didnt happen. Why? Well, theres only one person to blame, and thats the coach. I can only wish and imagine if it was Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger or even Alex Ferguson managing England, we would not be in this mess, and i wont be typing all this out! What do you guys think?
